This morning, The Greenville News had the exciting details. This Magnolia Place on Woodruff road is shaping up to be a really exciting place. Here's the details on what's coming!

It’s been a long time coming for Menin Development Inc. of Palm Beach, Fla.

The company paid $52 million for the former Greenville Mall along Woodruff Road not long before the start of the Great Recession.

Its plans for a massive new development called Magnolia Park at the site have taken longer than expected, but six years in, Menin sees light at the end of the tunnel.

It has three buildings under construction at Magnolia Park — one to house Toys ‘R’ Us and Babies ‘R’ Us stores relocating from Haywood Road, and two others for smaller shops.

More importantly, Menin recently announced a big regional draw — the first Cabela’s store in the Southeastern corner of the country.

The well-known outdoor gear brand isn’t only expected to draw hunters, anglers and campers from a wide region, but also other retailers who would love to sell their own merchandise to Cabela’s customers.

With all the retail growth on what can be one of the more frustrating corridors in the region, it’s still unclear what Magnolia Park’s impact will be on traffic. Road officials, though, said they have plans to provide relief valves.

Menin says it has also landed Dave & Buster’s, which will combine a sports bar and arcade next to the Hollywood 20 movie theater, and Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill. The latter establishment, named for the country music star, will feature live music and cowgirl servers.

Menin says it has also signed the first South Carolina restaurants of two other chains — Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar — and is promising more first-in-the-state announcements.
