Former Gaither Vocal Band member, and gospel music soloist, Guy Penrod, is reported to be resting comfortably following a medical procedure for the insertion of a heart stint earlier this week. He posted this statement on his Facebook page earlier this week:  I wanted to let my friends know that I am currently "in for repairs." After experiencing chest pain recently, my doctors discovered I had a partial blockage in an artery. This morning I underwent a procedure and had a stint put in. All went well; I just need to take it easy for awhile.  My family and I are thankful for your prayers and good thoughts, and we look forward to seeing you on the road again very soon.

We received an email from a dear friend, Duane Davis in Lexington this week… Dear Mark, My nephew, Matthew accepted the L5 bass job. Good young man of whom u would approve. Of course nowhere near the vocal skills that u/I possess but he tries.”  Soon after the Singing News Website posted this statement from Matt Fouch this week… "For the past eight years I have had the great opportunity to travel and sing with the guys of Soul'd Out Quartet (SOQT),". "These men are high character individuals and it has been a pleasure to sing along side them…  With that said, after much prayer, thought and consultation with my wife, I have decided to resign my position with SOQT and join the Legacy Five team.” (There is more to these statements, find them at singingnews.com)
